With support from the MSK community, 85% of kids with cancer become long-term survivors. Mia is one of them. At 4 years-old, she was treated for retinoblastoma at MSK Kids. Doctors saved Mia’s eye and she’s been healthy ever since.

For Mijin Kim, PhD, MSK has played a big role in her journey to become a biomedical engineer. And now she’s playing a big role in pioneering a technology to detect ovarian cancer in its early stages, when it’s easiest to treat.
